  • 6 medium Apples, such as Pink lady or Gala. Peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup C&H® Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Instructions

Step 1

Add apples, water, lemon juice, sugar, and ginger to a large pot. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until apples are soft.

Step 2

Mash apples using a potato masher. Let cool and serve. Garnish with ground cinnamon.

Applesauce can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
