Ingredients
  • 6 medium Honey crisp apples, cored and chopped

  • ½ cup Apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup C&H® Light Brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • Pinch Ground nutmeg
  • pinch Ground cloves
  • Pinch Salt

Prep Time: 20 minutes / Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes / Yields: 2 cups
Step 1

In a large saucepan, combine the apples, apple cider, lemon juice, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer the apples for 30-35 minutes or until very soft. 

Step 2

Using a handheld blender, process the apples. Add spices and salt. Continue cooking, uncovered until thick and caramel in color. Carefully pour the mixture into an airtight container.

Additional Tips

Refrigerate apple butter for up to 3 weeks.
