Powdered Sugar Pound Cake

A light and delicious pound cake


  • 2 cups C&H® Powdered Sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 dash salt


Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream together sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in flour, vanilla and salt. Spoon into greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour. Remove from pan immediately. Cool on rack.

Serving Suggestion: Slice cake and top each serving with Sweetened Whipped Cream (see Related Recipes) and fresh berries or sliced fresh peaches.
