Star Sprinkled Strawberries
- 1/2 cup C&H® Granulated Sugar
- 1 to 2 drops blue food coloring gel
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 16 large ripe strawberries, cleaned and dried
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper.
Place sugar in a bowl. Make a well in the center of the sugar; add a drop of food coloring into the well. Blend until sugar is evenly tinted. Add more food coloring until desired shade is reached; set aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips on HIGH for 30 seconds; stir. Continue to melt in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until chocolate is melted, for a total of approximately 90 seconds.
Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip 2/3 of the berry into the melted white chocolate. Gently shake excess chocolate off into bowl. Dip bottom 1/3 of the berry in blue sugar.
Place on waxed paper. Repeat with remaining berries. Refrigerate, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until chocolate sets.
Food coloring gels can be found where cake decorating supplies are sold, as well as some supermarkets.
