Mocha Almond Fondue

This party favorite is delicious served with chunks of pound cake, fresh strawberries, brioche bread cubes, shortbread cookies, or almond biscotti.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/3 cup firmly packed C&H® Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 4 ounce semisweet chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

INSTRUCTIONS

In a small saucepot over low heat, combine all ingredients, gently stirring after chocolate begins to melt. Continue to stir until smooth. Serve in fondue pot with warming candle. Do not allow fondue to boil.

QUICK TIP

Best dippers include angel food cake, ladyfingers, macaroons, plain cookies or pound cake. Fresh fruit, such as strawberries, grapes, bananas and pears make delicious dippers. Dried fruit may also be used.
