Ingredients
    Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup
  • 1/2 cup C&H® Light Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Dried Hibiscus Flowers
    Berry Hibiscus Smash Cocktail
  • 2 Strawberries
  • 3/4 oz Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup
  • 3/4 oz Lime Juice
  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Club Soda
  • Strawberries, lime, hibiscus flowers for garnish (optional)

Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup

Step 1

Add C&H® Light Brown Sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until the brown sugar has dissolved.

Step 2

Remove from heat, add dried hibiscus flowers and steep for 15 minutes. Cool completely. Strain into an airtight container, discarding hibiscus flower

Berry Hibiscus Smash Cocktail

Step 1

Add strawberries and 3/4 oz of the Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup to a cocktail glass. Muddle until the strawberries are broken down. 

Step 2

Add vodka and lime juice to the cocktail glass and stir. Fill the glass with ice.

Step 3

Fill the glass with club soda. If desired, garnish with strawberry and lime slices and hibiscus flowers.

Additional Tips
  • If you cannot find dried hibiscus flowers, you can substitute with 2 hibiscus tea bags.
  • If desired, substitute vodka for gin or whiskey.
  • Store any extra Brown Sugar Hibiscus Syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
