Cream Cheese Frosting

Description:
This delicious frosting stays soft and moist; perfect for Carrot Cakes and Red Velvet Cakes.

Cooking Time:

Ingredients:
2 (8 oz. pkgs). cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (2 lb.) bag C&H® Pure Cane Powdered Sugar
pinch of salt

Instructions:
In large bowl beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until creamy. Gradually beat in powdered sugar.

Hints: To thin, add a few drops of milk; to thicken, add additional powdered sugar. To make a decorator frosting: Prepare one-half recipe of the above. Beat in 1/4 to ½ cup additional powdered sugar. Color as desired with food color; use in a decorator tube.


Serving Size: Makes enough for a 9-inch cake.
