Chocolate Praline Pecan Cake
Chocolate Cake Ingredients
- 2 cups C&H® Granulated Sugar
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup oil (vegetable or cooking)
- 3 eggs
- 1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
Praline Pecan Frosting Ingredients
Chocolate Cake Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease and flour 13x9-inch baking pan. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl; mix well. Add water, oil and eggs; mix until combined. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Pour into pan.
Bake 35-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack, 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely. Prepare Praline Pecan Frosting.
Praline Pecan Frosting Instructions
Melt butter in medium saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and confectioners' or powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and of desired spreading consistency. Immediately spread on top of cake. Sprinkle with pecans.
