Official Sweepstakes Rules

1) NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: C&H Sugar Company, Inc. (the “Sponsor”) is offering “Win a Year of Spring Cleaning” (the “Sweepstakes”) and will award a Grand Prize via a random selection of valid entrants. The Sweepstakes is scheduled to begin April 1, 2007 at midnight 12:00 AM Central Time (CT) and end April 30, 2007 at 11:59 PM CT, (“Sweepstakes Period”).

You can enter by completing any of the following activities at www.chsugar.com during the Sweepstakes Period: A) You will receive one entry when you sign-up for the FREE C&H “12 Special Memories” program at chsugar.com by completing the registration form with your first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code, home phone number and email address. B) Once registered, you will receive one entry every time you return to chsugar.com and log in as a “12 Special Memories” member. (Limit one entry per day for registered member’s log-in) C) You will receive one entry for each “Born to Be Sweet” Baking Kit you purchase at chsugar.com. D) You will receive one entry for each correct answer you provide to any of the “Sweet Trivia” questions at chsugar.com. E) You will receive two entries each time you email the featured recipe to a friend. F) You can enter by mail by printing your first and last name, street address, (no PO Boxes), city, state and zip code and home telephone number including area code on a 3” x 5” card and mailing in a outer envelope to: Win a Year of Spring Cleaning, PO Box 6650, Scottsdale, AZ 85261-6650. Your entry must be postmarked by May 1, 2007 and received by May 8, 2007. There is no limit to the number of times you can enter; however, each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope. There is an overall limit of (250) entries per person for the overall Sweepstakes Period regardless of entry method.

2) Prizes Available: One (1) Grand Prize of twelve (12) vouchers for cleaning services from a local provider of the winner’s choice, Approximate Retail Value $2,400. The verified winner will have the option of receiving a one-time payment of $2,000 in place of Spring Cleaning for a Year voucher prize. The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend upon the total number of valid entries received.

3) Eligibility: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the (50) United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older. Promotion is void where prohibited. Employees, officers and representatives (and members of their immediate families and those living in the same household of each) of C&H Sugar Company, its parent company, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies and any company involved in the design, execution or production of the promotion (collectively, “Sponsor Affiliates”) are not eligible.

4) General: Potential winner will be selected in a random drawing from all valid entries received on or about May 11, 2007. Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email within 2 days of drawing and will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law). Failure to return the Affidavit within fourteen (14) days of the date of Sponsor’s notification letter may result in forfeiture of prize, in which case an alternate winner will be selected. If any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The prize is not transferable or substituted. In the event of unavailability of the prize, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. ANY AND ALL TAX LIABILITY RESULTING FROM THE WINNER’S RECEIPT OF THE PRIZE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

If, for reasons beyond the Sponsor’s control (including, but not limited to, tampering or computer virus infection), the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes, without liability and to the extent feasible, will award the prize from among entries received prior to cancellation or modification. Sponsor is not responsible for Internet, computer hardware and software, phone, and other technical errors, malfunctions, and delays. Entries, which are incomplete, inaccurate, mechanically or repetitively produced, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, are also void. All entrants agree to comply fully with each provision in these Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes and any person who does not comply with these Official Rules, will be ineligible for any prize and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
By submitting an entry, you grant to C&H Sugar Company, Inc., the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name, likeness, picture, address (city and state), e-mail address, voice, biographical information, and written or oral statements, for advertising and promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing C&H Sugar Company, Inc. and its products or services, without compensation unless required by law. You shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of your name, picture, likeness, address (city and state), e mail address, biographical information, or entry.

5) Release of Liability and Issues of Law: By participating in this Sweepstakes, all entrants release C&H Sugar Company, Inc., its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all entities associated with the development and execution of this promotion from any and all liability with respect to and in any way arising from participating in this promotion, acceptance or use of prizes. Entrants also agree that C&H Sugar Company, Inc. its affiliates, partners, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all entities associated with the development and execution of this promotion are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or third person's computer related to or resulting from the Sweepstakes, the Entries and/or its prizes. The Sponsor is not liable for damage to a user's computer system (including, without limitation, any server failure or lost, delayed or corrupted data or other malfunction) due, either directly or indirectly, to an entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes or downloading of information in connection with the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify or cancel the Sweepstakes in the event that any portion of any website used to administer any aspect of the Sweepstakes becomes technically corrupted.

All Federal, state and local laws and regulations are applicable. THE CALIFORNIA COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA SHALL GOVERN THE SWEEPSTAKES. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMIT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS. The Sweepstakes is void where restricted or prohibited by law. Participation in this Sweepstakes is governed by the site privacy policy available at www.chsugar.com .

6) Information about the Grand Prize Winner: For the name of the Grand Prize winner send a self addressed stamped enveloped postmarked no later than May 1, 2007: Win a Year of Spring Cleaning Winner List Request, PO Box 5688, Scottsdale, AZ 85261-5688. The name of the Grand Prize Winner will also be available at www.chsugar.com approximately two (2) weeks following the end date of the Sweepstakes.
